Albert Bryan - Architect This watercolor rendering from 1910 is for the National Guard Armory of Denver. It uses the design of a massive fortress with lookout towers to suggest "impenetrability." This being 1910 and Denver, one might conclude such a structure was "overkill." Its design probably had more to do with history than function.
